Well we had a great first night. It was so nice being back home and seeing all of those students under one roof, playing games, worshiping, and having a great time. Parents, you should really stick around for a little while just to get a glimpse of it...just awesome!
From what I hear, the Jr High group had a great night. I know the High School group did. We spent some time digging into Ephesians 1:15-19, seeing Paul's concern for them that they wouldn't get stuck. He prayed diligently for them that the eyes of their heart would be opened to know the hope of His calling, the key there being that it is a work of God and that we desperately need a real, biblical hope. The world is starving for hope and so will we if we don't pursue it through prayer and time with God.
This week we are continuing to break down that passage and look at the riches of our inheritance and the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. All of this ties into what we as believers are blessed to have, what the world desperately needs, and ultimately that God has called us to take it to them.
