WHAT IS FALL RETREAT?!?!

Good question! It's two different retreat weekends happening for middle and high school students right across the street from each other. Two separate groups, two separate camps, within a mile of each other. That gives both retreats the chance to really focus on what's best for middle and high school students at each location: Camp Sandy Hill for Middle School and Northbay Camp for High School, both in North East, Maryland and both fantastic places to be for a weekend in the fall! It is going to be a ton of fun! Zip lines, high ropes, high swings, climbing walls, you name it they probably have it. It will also be challenging each of us to draw closer to God and one another. You don’t want to miss this!

When is it? Depart from DBC @ 4:30pm on Friday, Return to DBC @ 3:00pm-ish on Sunday

Who is it for? All Middle (6th-8th grade) & High School (9th-12th grade) 

What does it cost? $180 for first student. $150 for each additional sibling. You may pay by check made out to DBC with “fall retreat” in the memo or you may pay online (detailed instructions). If financial assistance is needed please contact Mike Speer. We don’t want money to be the reason a student can’t attend.

You will need money for dinner on Friday on the way there (fast food - around $9). We eat lunch before we leave the camp so we won’t stop for a meal on the way back.

How do I register?

Step 1: **Registration is closed**

Step 2: Fill out the following forms.

Step 3: Packing - Please pack everything in one SMALL suitcase or SMALL duffel. We will NOT have space for multiple bags.

  • Clothes to play in and sleep in for 3 days two nights (including a sweatshirt or jacket and long pants)

  • Bible, notebook, and pen

  • Sleeping bag, pillow, and/or twin sheets for bunks

  • Towel

  • Personal toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, soap, etc.)

  • Insect repellent (optional)

  • Sun screen (optional)

  • Costume for Sat Night Party *optional, but there will be prizes*

    What NOT to Pack

  • Handheld video games

  • Alcohol / drugs

    Medication - Middle School

  • Please be prepared to drop off all medication when you arrive on Friday, September 29.

  • Medication must be labeled with CLEAR instructions. Medication will be kept with our nurse at the nursing cabin.

    Medication - High School

  • High school students may bring their own medication and keep it on their person. We will

    ask you to fill out a form so we are aware of medication that is onsite.
